About me

Zhero Palma

A far cry from the building’s crumbling hostel days, East West East Real Estate’s spectacular renovation in 2007 has made the Hotel Zhero - Palma barely recognisable. Today, this minimalist marvel is where design, fashion and a glamorous international set come together to enjoy the beautiful Mallorcan coast.

Inside, clean, white, contemporary interiors let the hotel’s artwork take the limelight. Oversized prints snapped by internationally renowned fashion photographers brighten the walls while hand-painted tiles and Missoni accessories add splashes of Mediterranean colour.

The Fresh Zhero Bar is renowned as the in-place to go for cocktails and Sunday poolside parties. The rest of the time, it’s a relaxed but popular spot where guests and locals linger over fine Italian coffee and enjoy fresh local fish, risotto, pasta and international dishes.

Sliding glass walls bring the outside in and extend service out to the terrace by the hotel’s 20m pool. Chic styling and its attractive blue and white sun-blanched palette have made this the hotel’s main hotspot. Guests poolside can lounge on sofas, eat alfresco or enjoy front-row views of the outdoor gallery from sleek Gandia Blasco loungers that lie across the two-tone wooden deck.

By night, a cool ambience, local DJs and designer lighting attract local fashionistas both poolside and to the rooftop lounge, which often plays host to private parties and doubles as an outdoor treatment room for pampering and yoga during the day.

Guests looking for a room with a view should choose a double preferred, which offer more space than the double standards (18m2), and look out over the Mediterranean. There are two junior suites, both with pool views and twin accommodations. Almost all the rooms have balconies, huge windows and safety deposit boxes. Free Wi-Fi is offered throughout the hotel.

With the beach across the street, a two-minute walk away, it’s little wonder many guests never venture further. But the nearby cove at Illetas, with its wooded hillside backdrop, champagne-coloured sands and aqua water, is well worth a visit. Cycling tours, organised by the hotel are another popular excursion.

Getting to and from the hotel is easy, with Palma International Airport only 20 minutes away, which gives guests the option of coming for a fun-filled weekend, a few days of golf or an indulgently long summer holiday.
